40 years too late for some...

Ted Kennedy is finally dead.

I generally don't like to speak ill of the recently deceased, but he was an evil, power-hungry elitist who has damaged this country and the state he allegedly "represented" probably beyond repair. There are too many like him in government. They are not patriots. They do not love this country except so far that they enjoy exploiting the system to gain ever more power and dominance over the great unwashed masses.

Good riddance.

  1. I hope the citizens/serfs/people of Mass (and I USED to be one) will awaken from their hypnotic state and select/elect someone new who is a little more to the right of Stalin this time.

  2. Not likely. They'll elect someone just like him. The best we can hope for is that the replacement will be less effective since he won't have Kennedy's seniority or heritage to prop him up.

  3. I used to (many ages ago now) actually believe that liberals like Teddy cared about the "little people" and their suffering; everything they did seemed designed to bring relief. Then I noticed nothing ever got truly resolved. In fact the "handout" approach seemed to keep people in the same place. What a wonderful constituency that is! Always trying to get their "fair share" of someone else's life. I believe that you are right that it is too late to go back. Thanks to the efforts of the Great Liberals of Ted's ilk there now is a greater number of people who consider themselves "have-nots" and they are running the show. Is there any one now who can put the genie back in the bottle?

  4. Ted Kennedy's most recent example of arrogance is the blocking of the Cape Wind project, a bid to put wind turbines out in the water off Massachusetts. The Kennedy clan opposed the project to provide renewable wind power because the turbines would ruin their ocean view.

Kinda ironic, given RFK Jr.'s rabid environmentalism.
