Because of the rather dry nature of this obit, I'm guessing that it was written by someone at the newspaper, not someone who personally knew him. If this is the case, I would not be surprised if the obit writer didn't even know of her existence. By this time, she had moved far away and pretty much vanished from anyone's map who lived in Providence.But then she was also Jewish, so maybe they just didn't want to mention her, things being like they were back then.
