Belmont County Sheriff Demanding Annual Verification

Ohioans For Concealed Carry reports that the Belmont County (Ohio) sheriff's office is apparently starting to make up their own laws as they go along:
Ohioans For Concealed Carry has learned that the Belmont County Sheriff's Office is sending letters to concealed handgun license holders demanding that they complete a one page document verifying their address, and asking if they still have their concealed handgun licenses.

Worse, the document states that you 'MUST' complete this form because it is 'a part of the requirements of having a CCW Permit.'

If you live in Belmont County, or if you obtained your license from the Belmont County Sheriff's Office, you may have received this letter.
The actual demand letter may be read here (pdf file). Ohioans for Concealed Carry response letter is here (pdf file).
