Sheriff's deputies say 53-year-old Darrell Sims went over to 65-year-old Sandy Long's house about 1 p-m yesterday for an unknown reason and was blasted in the groin by a shotgun. His injuries "weren't considered life-threatening." But I bet he remembers it for a long time.
Deputies don't yet know what sparked the confrontation that led to the shooting. Long alleges she fired the gun in self-defense after Sims threw a rock at her.
Because you never know what trivial bit of information may ultimately prove to be vitally important.
