While entering more books at Shelfari yesterday, I came across a hardback titled The Olmec Head by David Westheimer. It has what appears to be the author's signature inside the front cover. Unfortunately, a previous owner also wrote her name inside the front cover, which detracts from the value of any book.
I haven't read it yet, but I checked a review at Amazon and it sounds like a pretty good adventure tale, involving an artifact thief who tries to smuggle an enormous Olmec head statue out of Mexico into the U.S. Not exactly something you could hide in your luggage. I'll have to read it sometime.
