30 Most Baffling Design Flaws of Popular Products at Cracked.

A few days ago I noticed that someone had packed toilet paper into this crack in the men's restroom of the building where I report for work.  One too many peeping Toms? I guess.

  1. Thanks for sharing. This picture immediately reminded me of a stop at the McDonald's in Vidor, TX about 25 years ago. We were coming back from a trip to FL and when we hit the Texas welcome station, I went in the restroom. Upon seeing the old style half-walls (walls that only go up to your knees so you can literally sit there and play patty-cakes with the person next to you), I decided to wait until I reached a more modern facility. When I went into the stall in this McDonald's, there was a seriously wide gap (like in the picture) but I seriously had to go! A man comes in and stands at the urinal that lined up with the gap in the stall and not only did I get an eyeful (Everything is bigger in Texas) the man insisted on talking about the weather for the next very uncomfortable 45 seconds.

  2. I don't remember ever seeing walls that low anywhere. Personally I would prefer that they be floor-to-ceiling, with maybe a foot wide break at the top for ventilation.

  3. No kidding! I'm no prude, but I'd like to poo in private, please! That Texas Welcome station has been renovated, but years and years ago, it was the half-walls. They had a similar set-up in some of the older bathrooms at Garner State Park, so I think it was a Texas thing. In the grand scheme of things, how much more does it cost to build a private compartment for people to do their business?

  4. Oh yeah, I remember those low ones at Garner. We went there only one time when I was about 13 or 14. It was an horrendously overcrowded dump. My whole family hated it and we never went back there again.
